Description: The original Para Ordnance Warthog is the world’s smallest double-stack 10+1 capacity 1911-style pistol. The compact frame allowed for easy carry if not easy shooting. Granted, in a defensive situation, recoil is the last thing a person will notice, so the Warthogs potential recoil is not normally an issue. It was designed to be ultimate in .45 conceal carry handguns, and was fairly popular in its day. This one exhibits the usual signs of having been used as a carry gun as intended. The frame and slide exhibit light finish wear in certain spots, mainly on the edges or bottom of the trigger guard. One of the magazines has been fitted with a Pearce Grips PG-P10E pinky extension while the second magazine retains its original flat bottom plate. The rear sight is moved over to the right giving the appearance that it is loose, but it is in fact held in place tightly by the retention screw. The bore is in great shape with no rust or pitting. The magazine latch can sometimes be a little finicky. Slapping the magazine in will ensure this magazine is latched firmly. The Warthog comes with its original box, manual, and factory test-fire casing. There is still quite a bit of aftermarket support for the Warthog, including holsters and 13-round extended magazines with a sleeve to take up the space between the butt of the grip and the top of the magazine’s floor plate.
