Description:
SOLD!!  This is a high condition model 1890 2nd model chambered for the potent 22 WRF cartdrige. This was the 22 magnum of the day. The 1890 rifle was the most popular slide action 22 produced for many years. This particular rifle has a S/N 256415, which dates it to 1905, and it falls into the later 2nd design variation. This design still incorporated the hidden locking lugs, as opposed to the outside lugs used on the 3rd variation 1890's, and most 1906's and 62 models. This rifle has the standard 24" octagon barrel with a mint bore. It has never been re-bled, and has all the nice clear script that it came with from the factory. The receiver still has 80-90% of the original blue remaining, with only a few light handling marks. The stock and forend appear to have their original finish intact, and in great shape, with no cracks or repairs. This gun takes down, and reassembles as designed. At 107 years old, this is about as nice of a 2nd model survivor as you could ever hope to find.  THIS IS A COLLECTOR QUALITY PIECE. I prefer Postal Money Orders, unless otherwise agreed. Thanks for your interest.
