Payment Types Accepted: M/C, VISA, American Express and Discover Description: " This .30-06 caliber WWII Springfield M1C Garand sniper rifle was sold by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) in 1999. The original shipping box, which is with this rifle, shows that it was shipped from the CMP North Store in Port Clinton, Ohio. The key features on this rifle are its serial number, 3495528, the scope bracket also numbered on the bottom (WWII style) matching the gun, the scope base numbered 3717851, the barrel dated 1-S-A-1-45. and the NFR-inspected stock. The barrel has an excellen bore with bright, strong rifling. The gun has approx. 98% parkerized finish. While all parts were not checked, this fine rifle is still equipped with an unmodified flat side -9 operating rod. The stock is fine with a visible boxed SA over NFR cartouche with a discernable Ordnance wheel behind it. The wrist has two circle P inspection marks. The top of the wrist is numbered 124 with 159 below. The bracket is properly attached and staked to the receiver. The gun is equipped with a Korean War era sling and a WWII K Line cheek piece. The thick base M2 flash hider was manufactured by the Springfield Armory. The M84 telescope sight, serial number, 46377, is excellent. The oprics are crisp and clear. The scope carrying case, part number 7631596, is in the shipping box. The action functions correctly. WWII era M1C rifles are rarely encountered.
