Description:
A centerpiece for your collection.... $165.00 price reduction from $850.00 to $685.00.... My oldest and one of my best  walrus tusk pieces....This is an exceptional  mid to late 1800's Inuit Ivory  carving with seals and baleen insets on one side.. The carving has a very rich patina only acquired with age.
Could possibly be a piece of an old sled runner. I have seen these used before. It shows one seal coming through a hole in the Ice. and two that have already come through. see pictures. Nice size to this carving.
Appears to be inlaid dots on just  one side adding a nice detail. The game board carving shown is what you are buying.
Note: Cribbage has been played for 100's of years and was a favorite of early whalers. The  Alsakan Inuits would make these as a trade item.
Please email any questions. Pay pal O.K. no surcharge. I promise careful packing and insured shipping.
No CA. sales. Know your state  laws concerning Walrus Ivory.  Insured Priority shipping $24.95.
This is another item from my small  personal  collection. Thanks for your interest.
Note: Last picture is the collection I am selling.  Good indication of size of each piece.   Not included in this sale. Several of the pieces have been listed.
