Description:
This is a VERY RARE Winchester 70 Featherweight in 325 WSM (Winchester SHORT Magnum) caliber. What makes it rare is the configuration – Stainless Steel, Featherweight, with a beautiful wood stock chambered in 325 Winchester Short Magnum (WSM). It was one of the last guns to come out of the New Haven Connecticut plant, before it closed. Very few New Haven rifles made in this caliber and even less that are SS, in a wood featherweight stock. I have only ever seen 2 other guns sold in the configuration in over 25 years. The gun has been a safe queen since the day it was bought, in 2005. Gun is in perfect factory new condition all original papers hang tags and box. The box has an oil stain (seen in the main picture) and the end of the box where the label is at was cut by the gun store (see picture)
You cannot buy any more Winchesters made at the original New Haven plant or even made in America
