Description:
This fine 70's era 760 30 -06 is being offered as is and as shown for the listed price or we can have our Gunsmith shorten the barrel to 18 1/2". Barrel can be shortened, re crowned and front site relocated if buyer wants. Cost for this is an additional $ 200.00. This had a scope at one time which was removed prior to it coming to us, filler screws are missing as is the rear site but it does have the excellent Williams Peep (the peep is far better). We have a number of used scopes at excellent prices including some period correct for this fine example. The gun has been used little and there are few handling marks or flaws; the only one woth mention is at the bottom of the pistol grip and grip cap...could be repaired or touched up to be nearly as good as new if you are a little handy.
We are located in the North East where it is often pretty thick and have found the ability to get fast follow up shots made possible with a pump or semi auto will often save the loss of a crippled animal. A semi and pump allow fast accurate follow up shots witout haveing to take ones eye out of the sight or socpe picture. (Many are unaware of this but competion shooters have actually been known to shoot faster with a pump than a semi auto)
