A very highly ornate AUG. WOLF. Drilling, 16 Gauge Double over 43 Mauser rifled barrel. This drilling is fitted with beautiful 27 1/2 inch Damasgus shotgun barrels/fluid steel rifled barrel, double triggers, engraved exposed hammers, engraved receiver/forearm collar/side-plates/trigger guard/upper tang/forearm takedown lever/barrel release lever/barrel select lever and cartridge holder door in the stock, a checkered and carved forearm (note the owls head at the tip), checkered and carved pistol grip stock fitted with checkered horn butt-plate, shadow line cheekrest, and sling swivel. The gun is in excellent original condition retaining most of its original finishes. The action locks up vault like tight and functions perfectly. The shotgun bores are rough, with spotting throughout. The rifled bore has sharp rifling, but the grooves are frosty throughout. The stock and forearm fit to metal is very tight and the retain most all of their original finishes. A fantastic example of a late 1800's German Drilling.
