Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are so proud to offer this art form of a shotgun from the world's oldest gunmaker, Beretta. Made in the year of our Lord 1950, it came from an era when an importer had to "bring them over" and offer them for sale. Now, ask any 30 something gal about Abercrombie & Fitch, and they will tell you how they dominated the malls when they were teenagers. The pulsing beat of pop music and a sales associate in every aisle are what I remember. They sold jeans then. Way before that, they sold shotguns.  Anyway, this is also back when Beretta was handcrafting their fine iron, and this S2 is a good example. She is in wonderful condition for being 71 years old. All finishes appear to be original. The beautiful blue is thinning a bit at carry points and at the muzzles. The nicely figured and finely checkered walnut has only minor handling marks, and the bores of the 26 inch tubes are great. The inside of the receiver is gleaming, showing very little signs of use. The factory timed screws are untouched, and the ejectors toss empties with authority. The hand executed engraving is gorgeous and highly detailed. This was also before current practice of the engraver signing his work. She tips the scales at 6 3/4 pounds. The drops are 1 1/2 and 2 3/8 inches, with an LOP of 14 7/8 inches. The chambers are 2 3/4 inches. I measure the chokes at modified and improved modified. It appears the numbers stamped into the barrels may actually state bore diameter and muzzle diameter, in metrics, of course. These early Berettas have quite a following, and their prices have risen accordingly. If you have been looking for the right engraved Beretta to collect, shoot, or for investment, but don't want to break the bank, then look no further.
