Payment Types Accepted: Certified funds or check (will need to clear before shipping) Description: SOLD. In time for the Southern SxS! For sale is a 12 bore Thomas Horsley shotgun. Thomas Horsley is generally regarded as the best of the provincial British gunmakers. This particular gun has several unique features and I’ve yet to see or learn of another identical Horsley. It is built on the Thomas Woodward patent of 1876 and has a snap-action underlever and cocking indicators on top. This one was likely made sometime in 1882 or 1883, according to the proofs. Please see photos. It is engraved with a beautiful and well defined scroll pattern. The fore end features a Rigby style underlever. Barrels are 28 inches and on face with 2 3/4 chambers. Bores are smooth and muzzles in nice shape. Chokes are approximately skeet and skeet. The gun has excellent modern dimensions and shoots wonderfully. Length of pull is 14 1/4 over an orange Silvers-type pad. DAC 1 1/2 inches, DOH 2 inches. Wood is in good condition with checkering worn over time. I’ve shot this gun with light 1 Oz loads, #7.5 and #8, and have experienced excellent results. A great looking, unique piece of shotgun history ready for the field or clays. Price is $2125 plus shipping. This shotgun is an antique and can be shipped directly. My email is josephgrazianogmail, (251) 223-0038. SOLD Antique: Yes Shotgun Gauge: 12 Gauge |
