SOLD !!! We have in on consignment a very nice International Harvester M1 garand. the receiver is very nice and appears to have the original finish. Lettering very crispy.! it has mixed parts and a very nice Springfield armory 1953 barrel. bore is excellent. stock and hand guards are matching in color and are birch? the stock has a small crack on the left side under the receiver which has been armory repiared. This will make a nice project for the collector. this is not the stuff the cmp is offering now. they don't even have a M1 garand that has an actual military barrel. non military new stocks?? here is your chance. priced right. further research through cmp fourum says that this springfield 53 may indeed be correct for this serial number receiver.[ 5.1 million ] it does have the punch mark near the rear handguard clip. the rear of chamber is in the white. so if barrel is correct this would definaetley be a good find.. We personally have a international garand from 20 some years back, and it has a LMR bbl and also has the punch mark near handguard clip. so with this I am willing to bet the SA bbl is correct and original.See cmp fourum yourself...IHC vs. BBL DATES.
