TAX TIME, FINAL MARKDOWN $4095.00!!!!! 1894 Winchester 26" Octagon BBL,in 38-55 "First year of production". This rifle is in exceptional condition for it's age. Barrel and Magazine are brown patina with absolutely no rust or pitting. Bore is excellent and bright. Barrel sports a Beech front sight, 100 and 200 yard folding rear sight and a Lyman tang sight. The receiver still retains 50% or better original charcoal blue with 100% vivid blue on the lower link. Loading gate still shows high Niter Blue remaining. All the screws are perfect. I am sure it has never been apart. A little color case hardening is visible in protected but over all has nicely silvered out. The wood is exceptional, still proud where it contacts metal with no bad dents or gouges. Just some light handling and closet marks. Action is as tight and smooth as the day it was made. This rifle was built in the first week of the 3rd month of production and a factory letter is available. Over all a gun that was cared for and your opportunity to add a fine example of a first year gun in a very desirable caliber to your collection.
