Blake of New Haven in 1826, started life as a flintlock and converted to percussion in the 1850's prior to the civil war. The barrel appears to be full length, the cone was removed filled in and needs to be drilled and tapped for a new nipple (Nipple will be provided with musket). The full length 3 band walnut stock is in good condition. The loch is marked US P&EW BLAKE , NEW HAVEN 1826. Is complete but the hammer does NOT hold at full cock. Both sling swivels as well as the ramrod are missing. All metal parts have a smooth grey brown patina. A good look old musket in wall hanger condition.
