   ***   SOLD   ***   Great handling W. Horton 12 bore lightweight boxlock ejector game gun made in Scotland between the wars. Number 2774 was made in Glasgow circa 1920. Nicely engraved, recently and professionally refinished European walnut stock and forearm. It has double triggers, auto safety, and auto ejectors. Weighs 5lb 15oz. An easy-to-carry upland gun for a day afield.   ***   The 28” steel barrels are chambered for 2-1/2” shotshells. They are topped by a solid concave swamped rib. London nitro proofed for 1-1/8” loads. Bores are shiny. Bluing is in good condition but has a few handling marks from normal usage. The right barrel is bored 0.733 with a constriction of 0.003 for Skeet choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.026. The left barrel is also bored 0.733 and has a constriction of 0.014 for a tight Improved Cylinder choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.025. A great choke combo for upland gunning.   ***   The straight grip stock and splinter forearm are made of nicely figured European walnut. The checkering is crisp. Professionally refinished recently the finish is in great condition. Stock dimensions are 14-7/8” by 1-1/2” by 2”. Cast off for the righthand shot.   ***   The gun is cased in a period leather case with original maker’s label and charge card. Also comes with oil bottle, mahogany cleaning rods, and cleaning attachments. The exterior shows some wear and damage. The strap needs to be replaced. The interior partitions are solidly anchored.
