SOLD PENDING FUNDS
This rifle was purchased by my father, because it reminded him of the model 70. He passed away in 1995, and has not been shot since, occupying space in my gun safe. These are purportedly very accurate rifles. The barrelled actions were produced in Australia, and Winchester stocked and finished them here in the U.S. The stock, with impressed checkering is of lighter American black walnut, and has some honest use dings and shallow scratches. I have given it a fresh coat of hand-rubbed Custom Pro Oil. The barrels and action have been finished with a high, glossy polish and have a deep lustrous rust blue. I have also given it thorough off-stock cleaning and noticed the the trigger has an adjustment screw. The Scope, a Bushnell 3x-7x Custom .22, was a Christmas present to my father in 1974. There were about 125,000 of these rifles built from 1972 to 1974, and I would consider them to now be uncommon, but not rare.
