SALE PENDING This is an excellent condition Winchester 52C .22lr target rifle from my private collection of vintage target guns. .This gun has a 28 inch Eric Johnson 5 star barrel with the number 8. The underside of the barrel is marked with serial number 1175 and the date 2/12/53. It appears to have been re-crowned with an 11 degree concave target crown...very well done. Very nice deep blue finish at about 90%. There is a slight rub on the barrel from resting in a rack. Solid tight grained walnut target stock with rollover cheekpiece. The stock is moderately figured and finish is at about 90% with an oil finish. The Bishop white line red rubber pad is present and in good condition. There are some scratches where the handstop goes into the rail and I have enclosed a pic. Handstop is present. The rifle has been very nicely glass bedded. There is a provision for a Freeland type bedding device in the fore-end but it is no longer present...nor necesssary due to the glass bedding. A redfield rear sight base and a two step front sight base are attached. There are Unertl target scope blocks that are case hardened. Very nice and crisp Micro-Motion match trigger. Serial number 85950C, made in 1956. C&R eligible. $45 shipping
