SOLD! Here is a very unique Purdey double rifle case made for the Maharajah of Jodhpur. The exterior is a canvas material that shows wear and stains and is reinforced with brass on all sides and corners of the case. The case is quite large and has triple fasteners for the lid and a massive handle. The inside is two tiered with the upper tray made of dovetailed oak to hold two sets of 26" barrels and one scope. There are two large round holes for extra striker containers and such. The top tray lifts out and the bottom will hold two actions with additional accessories. A truly one of kind case that looks as if it has spent some time in the jungle hunting tigers. Please see pictures for accurate description and condition.
