Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with an "Eagle over N". The left side of the barrel shank is marked with "Made in Germany" , the serial number "121796", an "Eagle over N", the "antler" symbol of the ULM proof house, and "868" indicating the proof date as August 1968. The right side of the barrel shank is marked with "KRIEGESKORTE & Co. STUTTGART" as the maker of this rifle.
Barrel Length: 24 1/8 inch
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade set atop a raised base and is hooded for protection. The rear sights are two flipable "V" notched blades (for 150m & 200m distance) attached to a fixed "V" notched center piece. The German-made 6 x 42 / 49mm "Hubertus" scope with German #1 reticle has the quick release EAW Swing Mount system. The glass appears clear and the outside show only minor field wear. Good condition considering its 50+ years of age.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The light colored hardwood stock has a pistol grip with crisp, decorative checkering on the pistol grip and forearm, a black plastic pistol grip base, European style raised cheekpiece, and ventilated rubber recoil pad with white spacer. The wood shows several scrapes, scratchess and compression marks from field wear. The LOP measures 14 1/2" from the face of the front trigger and 13 3/4" from the rear (set) trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The stock has 2 removable sling swivals.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and shiny, the rifling is sharp and deep. There is no visible erosion.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The barrel and trigger guard show no scratches. The markings are deep. Has double set triggers, jeweled bolt and luxury checkering. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good Plus to Excellent Condition especially when considering its age.
Mechanics: The mechanics function correctly. We have test-fired this rifle.
Our Assessment: Krico is the brand name of the German firm of Kriegeskorte GmbH. The company has a history dating back to 1878 but their rifle productions was halted in 1986 because it was no longer possible for them to produce the very accurrate and well-made quality rifles Krico was know for at cost effective prices. This rifle is a great investment or a beautiful rifle to hunt with. Especially deer and other small game with very little recoil. Ideal for youth and/or female hunters.
