Bore is excellent. 1953 FN commercial Mauser action features a two position safety, jewelled bolt and extractor, and fully adjustable Canjar trigger. A Lyman All-American 10X scope with plain crosshairs and excellent optics is mounted in Buehler bases and rings. Stocked in a very nice piece of English Walnut with checkered steel buttplate, Monte Carlo cheekpiece, Super Grade style sling studs, and very well cut Fleur-de-Lis checkering. This gun weighs in at 10lb 11oz as scoped. LOP 13 3/8" Mr. Jerry Gebby was the innovator of the .22 Varminter [Trademark Registered] in the 30's based on the Savage .250-3000 parent case. It was commercialized by Remington in 1965 as the .22-250. This is a very nice and somewhat historic piece in excellent overall condition. Blue is at 98-99% Stock finish at 97% with only mild handling marks. I doubt that it has ever been hunted. It is nicely stocked and checkered with lots of eye appeal. SOLD |
