Description:
Beautiful and lightweight 20ga game gun made by Arthur Turner. This gun, with 25" barrels (original length) that have checkered splinter forend and engraved iron. The frame is nicely scroll engraved with makers name on sides and floor plate is also scroll engraved and blued. Tops of the action are beautifully sculpted as seen in the photos with fern leaves. Made with auto ejectors, double triggers, auto safety. The straight grip English Walnut buttstock with long tang engraved trigger guard terminates with the original checkered buttplate.
Overall, the gun remains in excellent condition. Barrels retain most of a period restored finish with some subsequent use. Action retains generous traces of original case color. Trigger guard and trigger plate retain most of an older restored finish. Stocks are sound and retain most of their fine hand rubbed finish. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp.
This is a great little lightweight game gun in excellent condition. These small bore English BLE's dont come along every day and this one is a joy to behold.
