Payment Types Accepted: Check, Money Order Description: Sold Confederate 1863 Tower Enfield Anchor S marked with rarely seen F Preston marked bayonet. This is a P53 Enfield Tower 1863 Percussion Musket Blockade Runner BSAT Cartouche Birmingham Small Arms Trade. Double 25 caliber mark and CS mark just in front of it. A nice Anchor S marking in front of the top tang of buttplate (see pic). Two cartouches behind the lower tang (see pic). There is a makers name stamped on the belly of the buttstock, it looks like Good_son? (See pic). Roman numerals carved on the left side of stock near upper tang and also on the socket end of bayonet (see pics). There is also a bunch of notches on the belly of forend carved on both sides of the ramrod? (See pics). Bayonet is marked with the rare makers name F Preston Manchester (see pic). Lock functions nicely. Overall metal is gray / brown patina. Stock is in really good condition for the age of the rifle. Bore looks to have been reamed out or shot out (shallow rifling). This rifle has all the recorded signs of a Confederate used rifle, including a rarely seen for sale bayonet. Antique and can be shipped directly to your doorsteps. Please feel free to ask questions.
