JAPANESE WWII Kokura Type 38 Converted to 6.5-257 SPORTING Rifle C&R

Arisaka by the Kokura Arsenal Circa 1937

Here we present a C&R Japanese Kokura Type 38 Infantry Rifle that has been converted to a Sporting Rifle in 6.5x257. The Type 38 rifle and carbine were bolt-action service rifles used by the Empire of Japan predominantly during the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Second World War.

This rifle now features a 20-inch barrel with a full-length stock tipped with horn. It is rechambered for 6.5-257. It wears a Redfield peep sight on the receiver. Jeweled bolt with a turned down handle.

The overall condition is very good. Remodeled and refinished. Robust, smooth action. The bolt has been polished and jeweled. Bright bore. Solid stock with less than expected wear (missing butt plate).

This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.

Barrel is 20 inches.

Caliber: 6.5x257

Overall condition as seen in photos.
