Description:
Here is a Colt 1855 "Root" Pocket Revolver chambered for .28 caliber ball with a 3 1/2 inch octagonal barrel. Frosted bore with bright lands and dark grooves. The finish on the frame has converted to a gray patina and has light pitting throughout. The barrel is marked "COLT'S PT 1855 - ADDRESS COL COLT HARTFORD CT." Possesses a bronze/brass front sight. The grip shows handling marks and has been chipped at the toe (repaired). The hammer functions and locks properly and the unfluted cylinder rotates and indexes without fault. Matching serial numbers. This firearm is in GOOD CONDITION.
