This Winchester Model 70 -SUPER GRADE- Cal "30GOV'T'06 was mfg abt 1946 (Immediate Post War). The bluing is about 99%
w/no muzzle edgewear. The receiver is excellent, the chamber is excellent. the bolt has some light use markings, the bolthandle
has some very light wear, the bore is bright and shiney w/a very nice & distinct rifling, the action is suberb.
The buttstock is excellent and about 99%. It appears that it could have been an earlier restoration. It is absolutely the the finest
"Super Grade" that I've ever seen. The Checkering of both the forearm area and Grip is flawless, The Magazine dropplate
w/the "SUPER GRADE" logo has no edge wear.
This to me rates an NRA Excellent and is a definite choice for the discerning Winchester "SUPER GRADE" collector.
