Description:
This Winchester was manufactured in 1892 and remains in very good overall condition. Wood has darkened and remains solid with normal dings and dents from age. There is a small chip on left stock directly under hammer. Traces of original finish remain. Receiver, lever, crescent buttplate and magazine tube show little case color or blue. Patina of age and some light pitting all over. There is much original blue left on barrel, with wear on octagon corners and light pitting as well. Receiver has several small marks on left side of receiver. Bore is pitted but rifling is still visible. Neat old piece! .40-65 Winchester
