1880'S U.S. Cavalry Forsyth Pattern Holster marked Rock Island Arsenal. The holster is a modicication of James W. Forsyth, Major 4th U.S. Cavalry. This modification was adopted by the U.S. Army to fit the Mills woven cartridge belt. The leather has crazing, seam opening (See Photo), Bottom plug missing. Still a RARE Holster.
