Indian Wars Model 1872 Remington Breech Loading .50 Cal. Pistol Holster. Also used for Colt Single Action and Smith & Wesson .44 Cal.
This is a modified Civil War Holster adding the Hoffman Swivel & Wiping rod. There was a U.S. on the flap which is no longer readable.
Black leather surface with some crazing & cracking. Some seam repair, also has some minor dings & scratches. Still a Very RARE Holster.
Modified at Watervliet Arsenal - Number made: 1,315.
