Here we present an antique Mediterranean Flintlock Military Pistol, made circa the end of the 18th century. Pistols like these were commonly used around the Mediterranean in the 18th and early 19th Centuries. This pistol was made in Europe, possibly Italy. The aesthetic, both in form and décor, are European.
The overall condition is good. The action is strong. The bore is good. This example features ornately engraved metal surfaces and a wire inlaid stock. No matter which angle the piece is displayed, it’s sure to be a centerpiece in a collection.
