This is a wonderful JP Sauer 16 gauge side lock shotgun in fine original looking condition...The 28" fluid steel barrels are choked mod and imp mod...Chambered for 2 1/2" shells, with fine bright bores...Barrels are scroll stamped "Selbstspanner - System J.P. Sauer & Sohn, Suhl...This is an extractor gun, with precise double triggers and elegant side cocking indicators ...The round pistol grip stock, with cheek rest, has a length of pull of 14 1/2" over a horn butt plate... Serial # 55xxx, made circa 1895...This high grade Sauer gun is extensively engraved with full coverage fine scrolls...It is truly a wonderful thing, that this fine gun has survived for all of these years and that it is still in remarkably original looking condition...Ship to ffl or c&r...
