Description:
It's been way too long since a really nice 82-B 10th Anniversary in .22 LR has been up for sale.  The limited edition one of 200 gun 10th Anniversary was offered to commemorate Kimber of Oregon's 10th year of producing exeptionally-high quality rimfire and centerfire rifles.  To showcase Kimber's incredible ability to find outstanding wood (while at the same time dodging creditors to pay for it), Kimber found a stash of sensational English Walnut and used those blanks for the 10th Anniversary.  The gun is highly sought out by collectors; as no serious collection is complete without a 10th in the mix.  What makes this gun even more special is that it has the correct box with end label.  I even have the original front sight hood which many times go missing for no apparent reason.  As was almost standard with the brown sleeve, white styrofoam boxes of this era, the end lables were not glued on very well and you often see them taped on after the glue separated from the foam.  The box was designed to push (not pull) the white styrofoam out the other side to gain access to the gun.  Unfortuntely, inexperienced Kimber owners would try to pull the white styrofoam out of the outer brown sleeve without pushing it out far enough onthe opposite side and in most cases there was too much resistance and the white styrofoam would break off at the end.  Such is the case with this box as you can see.  The owner wisely then taped the end label to the outer brown sleeve.   This is probably the third or fourth gun of this box and label era that I have seen with the end label taped to the outer brown sleeve.  Feel free to email or call me for more pics or to ask questions. Thanks.
