Very fine Merkel Model 147EL 28ga. This gun made with 26-3/4" barrels that have checkered splinter forend. The scalled and cross bolt coin finished action is very nicely engraved in game scene on sides and scroll on bottom. Made with double triggers, auto ejectors, auto safety. The fine straight grained European Walnut buttstock in point pattern checkered through the wrist and terminats with a thing black pad bringing the LOP to 15". Housed in its original green leather case with keys and original factory paperwork enclosed.
Overall, the gun remains in near mint original condition with more than 98% original finish on all wood and metal surfaces. The gun is tight and crisp and has only been used a very very limited amount. Case is excellent with only minor rubs. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp.
