Description:
Very early transitional musket from the 1812 model to the 1816. This one has all the early features. 45 inch round barrel. This has the 3-band forearm wood with the keepers behind the bands. Correct sling swivels. Wood has good cartouches and just the typical handling mars. Metal is semi-bright with the scarce Ohio markings towards the breech. Correct ramrod. Mechanics are fine. These transitional period guns are hard to find.
