A literal time capsule find! Ruger Old Model ”Single Six” Convertible 22 Magnum/22LR Revolver, 6½“ barrel, Catalogue #RSSMX chambered in both .22 WMR together with .22LR auxiliary cylinder, serial #20-59405. Obtained attached Certificate of Authenticity from Ruger reflecting that revolver was produced in April 1970 at Ruger's Southport, Connecticut facility, shipped to Harvan Sporting Goods in NYC, also have copy of NJ handgun permit refelcting estate Seller's subsequent purchase in May 1970. Purchased new by original owner as the old “three-screw” model before Ruger introduced the safety hammer in 1973 and appears to have simply been placed into a filing cabinet since then. Does not appear to have been fired on more than a handful of occasions if that, blue is literally 100%, comes with wood grips, installed 22LR cylinder and 22 WMR cylinder in included red velvet bag – cylinder box also included. Owner retained all original conversion paperwork and original pre-conversion parts that were returned by Ruger after factory transfer bar safety conversion in 1983 if you want to restore to its original condition. Last three digits of serial number are etched on each cylinder, all paperwork together with both original and post-safety conversion instruction manuals included, absolutely no rust, pitting, scratches whatsoever. Revolver, box & cardboard wrapper are all in pristine like-new condition despite it being a 52+ year old firearm, this one-of a kind Old Model Super Six Convertible in pristine condition won’t last long.
