Description:
Gun features 42 inch barrel with 3 retaining barrel bands. Wood is very nice with a sharp cartouche. There is some initials carved into the stock but doesn't look too bad. Lock plate is dated 1851 and has the typical US Eagle motif ahead of the hammer. These guns were generally left in the white. This gun is semi-bright starting to turn a plum brown. Original bayonet in very good condition. Mechanical condition is very good. Correct sling swivels. An original clean musket.
