For sale a 1886 Winchester High Grade lever action 45-70 caliber with an octagon barrel. This is a commemorative rifle for John Browning the inventor of the gun. It has 5 or 6 grade type wood, and the receiver and lever are completely engraved with a Bear standing over its kill of a bison. Embellished with gold highlighting on the animals, and floral engraving down through the lever. The other side has animals, and the outer edge is highlighted with gold K pinstriping. This gun has been shot and there are a few small handling marks on the wood. There were only 2,500 High Grade of these guns ever made in the world.
