Description:
Full octagon barrel and full length mag tube. Tube and barrel retain about 20% original blue turning a plum/brown. Correct sights. Very good bore with well defined rifling. Wood has a considerable amount of original varnish. Complete with sling swivels. Gun features brass forend cap and brass rifle style buttplate. Receiver is untouched and has turned a dark butterscotch color. This is one of the early 66’s with side plates that are off color. This is seen in the 20k serial range and then again in about the 55k range. They were out of a different compound of brass. Nice functioning action. Matching numbers.
