Description:
38 caliber 10 inch octagon barrels with excellent bores. The metal decoration is unusual with the engraved scroll work all being of raised silver scroll. They retain most all the original case colors and is quite striking with the raised silver. The trigger guards are the same with case colors and inlaid silver. The guns are numbered "1" & "2" in gold on tangs. The barrels show extensive raised silver decoration at breech with silver and gold bands, fancy scroll and arrows pointing toward muzzle on the top three surfaces at the breech. The makers mark are underneath the barrels and on the channels of the stocks. Top of the barrels have the English crown. The guns are sighted with a blade front and adjustable rear sight. Original adjustable single set triggers.
The stocks are of ebony and are elaborately carved with raised scroll work. The background is delicately punch doted. Fitted in a dark black rich looking wood case with several accoutrements. Age crack in the lid of the case. Green velour lining. There is a couple extra front sights and replacement nipples included as well. An absolutely sensational pair of pistols.
