This Smith & Wesson Volcanic Pistol was manufactured to be an Exhibition display gun, and is the Only Known Gold Inlaid Smith & Wesson Volcanic known. This gun shows a deluxe coverage of engraving. The entire pistol is silver plated but is not the original silver. The gun could be cleaned up and made to show a bit nicer. The engraving is very deluxe and ornate. The left side of the frame shows a shield, the right side shows a cherub pouring a pitcher with water pouring out. The grips are beautiful with silver mounts. This example is featured and described in "The Volcanic Book". It's much harder to find a large frame example without the lever spur. The right side of the frame has a replaced screw and has one little area of roughness, although it is very small and minor. Mechanically excellent. A very interesting and unique example of the Smith & Wesson Volcanic pistol! Buyer can choose shipping method and to pay actual cost plus insurance. Thank you!
