SOLD This fine 17th /18th century flintlock pirate pistol works on half cock and has a 11 1/4" long barrel with early inscriptions ontop not easily read.The European walnut stock is dark and may have had period repairs common for early guns being used for so many years. The escheceon on the back of the wrist is silver as is the front barrel band, bothwith intricate repousse early designs . The ram-rod is faux as is about all these pirate guns because boarding a ship and after firing the gun, reloading is not necessary as a knife or sword is used next to dispatch the enemy. Overall length is about 18+" long. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
