Made in 1856. Four inch barrel with early style 2 line New York Address. 5 shot cylinder that still has all of its safety pins...3 are very good, 2 are fair. Overall, NRA Antique Very Good with 10% original blue remaining on the barrel...mostly in protected areas and a few small streaks on the flats. Frame still shows some remnants of the original case color hardening which is faded out to silver...quite a bit remaining on the left side. Trigger guard retains 25% original silver plating on the brass and 10% on the backstrap. Nice mechanics. Bore has good rifling with a few pits. Barrel is tight to the frame. Grips are near Excellent overall and have 95% original varnish remaining. Cylinder still has 95% strong roll-engraved scene depicting a stagecoach robbery.
