Description:
Here is a dot K98k that I have never seen before and this is ultra rare. Collectors could spend years before seeing one of these. Here is an interesting article from 1990. I will describe our gun following this:

Although “dot” coded 1945-dated K98k rifles are encountered none that Bob Jensen has seen are WW II
assembled rifles. They often exhibit Waffenamt “63” acceptance proof stamps on barrels and receivers showing that
those parts were WW II era but all are post-war made or assembled rifles. These can be identified by Czech
Rampant Lion acceptance proofs. These proofs can be found on the left rear of the barrel, the left side of the
receiver ring, and on the rear of the bolt stem in place of the German waffenamt proof. They will also have a capital
letter suffix in place of a lower case letter. German WW II “dot” 45 K98ks are possible since “dot” coded 1945
dated receivers exist. This rifle is the most
desirable of the entire “dot” coded rifles because of rarity.

Condition: blue 98%, wood 99% (no numbers). Bore bright/shining with full lands and rifling and no sign of any pitting. Looks like hardly ever fired. Bolt has plum color that indicates original finish and hardly used. Functions perfectly, bit stiff as very old oil inside (not cosmolene).

Has bayonet lug. Not drilled for cleaning rod. Take-down hole in butt plate. Strap looks new, but isn't.  By chance, I found a swastica on the inside near the buckle. See pic. Bolt has later circular holes, not oval. Barrel has dot stamp. Has normal K98k rear sight. No suffix letter after the 4 digit serial number
