SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45 COLT, 5 1/2" BARREL, #345XXX, MADE 1923. Nice Roaring Twenties vintage revolver that retains most of the deep blue overall with only some flaking/thinning on the outside portion of the ejector housing and some minor edge wear to the usual parts and light cylinder ring. Fine case colored frame shows vivid color in the more protected areas and lighter (but still good) case color on the balance and hammer (looks better than photos show). Good fire blue on the screws, un-marred cylinder pin, locks tight, exc. bright bore. this one was period fitted with thick stag grips that are showing some attractive age-yellowing. Matching numbers on the frame and correctly stamped under the grips on the trigger guard and back strap. Excellent sharp markings including the one line barrel address, "45 COLT" on the barrel side and patent dates with rampant colt on the left receiver side. During this time period the Wild West was still very much alive in areas of Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, Texas and New Mexico.
