Description:
General Specs: Colt, Year 1906, .32 WCF, 35.7oz
Serial Number: 267836

Presented for your consideration is this uncommon Colt.

Colt produced approximately 290,000 copies of the Model 1895 Army and Navy's mostly in .41 and .38 Colt but only a limited number of them were delivered in .32-20 WCF; starting at about serial number 246,000 and made for about three years ending in 1907. Guns made for the Army had hard rubber grips with the Colt rampant logo embossed at the top edge while those destined for the Navy had the word Colt embossed in a oval in the same area. The Colt Model 1892 Navy and Army was the first general issue double-action revolver with a swing out cylinder used by the U.S. military, indeed Theodore Roosevelt the newly promoted Commander of the Rough Riders carried a New Army revolver recovered from The USS Maine when they stormed San Jan Hill in the Spanish American war of 1898.

This Colt New Army with 6" barrel is in excellent condition with some very lite handling and holster wear. Original bluing remains at about 96% with perfect screws while the grips show excellent form and fit and the trigger still displays its original nitre blue. The action itself is all Colt - clean and crisp in both DA and SA with the chambers rotating anti-clockwise, often referred to as the "Left-Wheeler".

Notable for its rarity, this Colt New Army will make be most welcome addition to any Colt collection so will not last long. Don't hesitate make it your new centerpiece today, enjoy.
