This beautiful 250-3000 Savage caliber Griffin & Howe rifle is built on a Model 98 Mauser action. The overall length is approx. 43"". The approx. 22.5"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The top of the barrel is marked  No 1231 GRIFFIN & HOWE, INC. NEW YORK and the left side at the chamber is marked 250-3000 SAV.  The gun has approx 98+% blue overall with the bolt body being bright and the interior of the action being jewelled. The deluxe stock is excellent with fine checkering at the wrist and forearm and no cracks or chips. The pistol grip cap and buttplate are steel with the buttplate being nicely checkered. The stock has a small blank oval brass escutcheon on the tottom of the butt. The forearm tip is horn. The rifle is equipped with sling eyes on the barrel and butt. The receiver has a G&H scope base installed. The B. Nickel, Margurg/L 1-4 power scope was made in German. The optics are excellent. It is in a correct G&H mount. The action functions correctly.
