THIS GUN HAS BEEN SOLD TO JIM. THANKS.
One of approximately 350 limited edition KoO S-Series guns in .22 Hornet. This was a Kimber test foray into the high grade rifle market. The S-Series featured upgraded Claro, a Continental cheek piece, Niedner butt with widow's peak, wrapped checkering and an ebony tip. The S-Series was such a big hit with customers that Kimber then developed the Super America as its flagship high grade offering. The sucess of the Super America is, of course, legendary. This gun has a very nice figure in the butt. The gun has a few dings in the wood which I tried to photo. Unfortunatley, it looks like a prior ham-handed owner tried to remove first generation Kimber rings without the ring separation tool provided with the rings. The result is a few dings on the metal on the rear of the top of the reciever dovetail which can easily be seen in the pictures. Accordingly, this gun is priced as a shooter grade.
