The RPD (Russian: ?????? ??????? ????????? Ruchnoy Pulemyot Degtyaryova, English: Degtyaryov hand-held machine gun) is a 7.62mm light machine gun developed in the Soviet Union by Vasily Degtyaryov for the 7.62×39mm M43 intermediate cartridge. It was created as a replacement for the DP machine gun chambered for the 7.62×54mmR round. It is a precursor of most squad automatic weapons. It was succeeded in Soviet service by the RPK.
Platform has been issued by many countries including the Soviet Union, China, Egypt and former Eastern Bloc countries. The RPD was also used by the U.S. SOF in Vietnam.
Equipped with a quad rail, grip pod, and Magpul ACS stock, this RPD is modular out of the box and ready to go. This particular firearm comes with 3 drums, 3 one hundred round links in 50 round sections, and sling.
