Here for sale is a very nice Colt 1860 Army - Ricahrds conversion from percussion revolver to .44 caliber centerfire. The original serial number 196764 match on the receiver, the brass trigger guard, and the bottom of the pistol grip, with serial number 195705 on the barrel, are often encountered in the Colt factory. The conversion number, 5103 on the loading gate and the barrel also match (see photos). This specimen is mechanically perfect. Approximately 70% of the blue remains with wear only on the rim of the added recoil shield. Grips retain some varnish. There is a small chip at the forward bottom corner on the left wood grip. The naval battle scene on the cylinder is nearly 100 percent. All screws appear to be original. This is a fine example of a standard 1860 Army - Richard conversion popular in the western U.S. before the SAA "Peacemaker" became available in sufficient numbers. Inquires are welcome. Shipping will be actual cost.
