Description:
Caliber 50-70. There were about 31,000 of these converted from percussion to cartridge after 1867. 22 inch barrel with Lawrence marked rear sight and post front sight. About 95% of a barrel reblue remains. Bore has good rifling with some light roughness towards the muzzle. Frame is a grey/brown color. Wood is good condition with a light coat of varnish added. Visible cartouche on the left side. Crisp tight action. A nice Civil War carbine.
