We offer you an “All Matching Numbers” Steyr Mannlicher model 1952 Daimler Schoenauer 6.5x54MS Carbine manufactured in 1952. The Stoeger Arms Corporation was the official Mannlicher-Schoenauer importer and Steyr worked closely with Stoeger to produce rifles suitable for the American market. The top of the chamber ring has the six-line marking “MADE IN AUSTRIA / ORIGINAL / MANNLICHER / SCHOENAUER / Mod. 1952 / KAL. 6.5x54”. The left side of the receiver is marked with an “eagle” proof and “52” date stamp. The left side of the barrel shank is marked with an “eagle” proof, “NPV” and “52”. The left side of the receiver is marked “STEYR-DAIMLER-PUCH A.G., STEYR” and with a Steyr logo. The bottom of the magazine is marked "STOEGER / ARMS / CORPORATION / NEW-YORK / Sole U.S. agents / with the Steyr logo at the bottom. The serial number of the rifle is “7806”. That number is marked on the receiver, barrel, stock, bolt and trigger guard. The number “806” is marked on the bolt release, trigger, safety and nose cap. Which makes this an all matching numbers Carbine which is a rare thing after 70 years. The 18 inch barrel has a bright bore with excellent lands and grooves with no issues. The metal finish shows marks and wear spots and overall is in fine condition. There are some small surface marks and wear from the last 70 years of use. The stock is solid with no cracks on the inside or outside. It shows wear, marks and dings from use as you can see, but is solid with no issues. As you can see a scope was added and is marked “IOR / BUCURESTI / 6X42 / MADE IN ROMANIA”. It has a type (4) crosshair with the optics being clear, clean and in excellent condition.
