Description:
Historic Antique Manhattan .36 revolver, made 1862. Matching numbers. Gun is complete, cocks, cylinder rotates, but is not in firing condition. Worn exterior condition. I have not removed the heavy black powder residue from the barrel, or the dirt from the nippleas.  I obtained this gun from a family from Kennesaw, Georgia. June 27, 1864 Union Major General Sherman attacked the Confederate army at Kennesaw Mountain where a major battle took place. This family has a farm in Kennesaw adjacent to Kennesaw Mountain. Sherman burned the family farm house on his attack, causing the family to flee the area until after the war. When they returned in 1865 they rebuilt the farm. They found this revolver and another revolver in the field under brush and downed trees. It was a family heirloom, but the elderly man I bought it from said his relatives have no interest in it so he decided to sell it. Buyer must be over 21 years and legal in his state. Insured priority shipping $25. Any questions feel free to email me.
