This rifle probably started out as a Spanish or South American Military arm by the last Patent Date of March 16, 1874. It was subsequently rebarreled and refurbished to its present state and would make a grand long range competition arm. .45-70 Government

Metal Condition: "Very good, the original Remington receiver has been sand blasted and shows a few small nicks and scratches. The barrel is a replacement made by Scheutzen Gun Company of Loveland, Colorado and appears near new.
Wood Condition: The butt-stock is original Remington and retains the inlet for the sling swivel the fore-end is most likely custom-made. All are in very good condition
Bore Condition: Bright with sharp rifling. Rate of twist is not known
Barrels: 32" Octagonal by Schuetzen Gun Company.
